Highly recognized in the field of Sports Massage, Ms. Flynn works privately with professional and amateur athletes and dancers. 2009 -She presently is the resident Massage Therapist at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, where she also teaches classes of Active Isolated Stretching (aka Active & Assisted Stretching) to the dancers and faculty of Joffrey. Website: Joffrey Ballet School 2007 Kerrie has also acquired her certification as a Yoga Teacher & Therapist and is registered with the International Yoga Alliance and the International Alliance of Yoga Therapists, thus intergrating Yoga into individualized sessions. As a therapist on the Sports Massage Team with the 2004 SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES, she was located in the Olympic Village where she worked with the world's top athletes from all countries and in all of the sports. An extraordinary and educational experience thus sharpening her hands-on skills. Past employment history includes working with professional sports teams such as The New York Knicks, and the WTA–Women’s Tennis Association, at the US Open in Flushing, NY. and also co-coordinating the Sports Massage Team in Bethpage for the 2002 US Open Golf Tournament. Kerrie was the first woman and Massage Therapist, ever to receive the prestigious “Outstanding 1994- 2004 she was a faculty instructor at The New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, NY. She taught classes in Sports Massage, Swedish and Medical Massage, Business Management, Ethics and Professional Development. She is returns to the College occasionally to teach continuing eucation courses. 1996 - The director of The Waterview Nursing Care Facilityi Queens NY, contacted Kerrie Flynn and asked if she would develop and pioneer a Massage Therapy program for children in long term care either in Coma or suffering from Trauma Brain Injuries. She did and the program was so successful it has now grown into an established Complimentary Health Care Dept. 1991-2000, Kerrie started, owned and directed a very successful integrated wholistic center called “Keep In Touch - Center for Therapeutic Massage”, in Douglaston and Little Neck, NY. It was there that she developed and refined her business acumen and healing skills as a Massage Therapist at the same time culturing a deeper understanding of the body, mind and spirit connection by teaching Yoga and Meditation classes. Sucessfully sold the center which is still open and serving the community. Kerrie Flynn is committed to staying on the cutting edge of Massage and Bodywork by consistently attending continuing-education workshops.
